I was given this orchid as a present from a boy in my first class and I especially love the colour. I've been meaning to photograph it for ages (before the flowers disappear again for another year) as a reminder to myself and anyone else with an orchid: don't give up on it when the flowers fade!

My orchid is probably one of my favourite possessions, so I was so pleased during the summer when it transformed itself from being a twig-with-leaves to a super-flowering, purpley pink delight.

It was amazing weather in Edinburgh last weekend so we took a break from our epic day of shopping to relax in Princes St Gardens for a picnic. I liked this view of the brightly coloured flowers and the statue when we were heading back into the craziness of Princes St.

Right, it's been way too long since I added to my blog, so here is the first of my summer posts. It's been a really busy couple of months (excuses, excuses...) but I've finally made it to my summer holidays and intend to add lots more lovely photos from now on. Enjoy!

I keep seeing Wisteria growing everywhere. I love the colour and how it hangs. This is a house on Richmond Green in London.
